Located in Jim Thorpe, PA this is where we spend every other weekend between April and November biking, hiking, canoing and kayaking and just hanging around the campfire. We'd be here every weekend but I work on alternating weeks.
We call the little fellow in the last pic "The Sentinel", he guards the place when we're not around and uses his net to trap trespassers.

Chris,
Awesome, love the Jim Thorpe area. My mom is from down the mountain Shennendoah PA. The wife and I went to MBW a couple of times and love the lake mauch chunk area (in the summer of course). Do you own the land and park the motorhome up there? What a great weekender!
In other news, job offer fell through, but I have another up at bat. If this one happens, I'm thinking of heading up to Morgantown to visit a friend, not sure how long it would take to get up your way from WV, but it would be an epic trip for sure. I'll keep you posted.
Bob,
I own the trailer and rent a campsite annually at the privately owned campground next door to Mauch Chunk Park. The trailer is there year round, all I have to do when I get there is turn on the water, raise the awning and click on the water heater. We've been going to JT forever, even when I still lived on Long Island. The riding isn't what it used to be, hunters have forced a lot of land closures but there are some positive signs things may open up again. I've been lobbying to move there for the longest time, I work an hour away, straight shot down 476 in Conshohocken. Your dollar buys a lot of house/property up there.
Too bad about the job, something's bound to come through for you. Morgantown is quite a haul to where I live, probably 6 or 7 hours. Let me know, the door's open.
Dude, you're killing me! Hope you've just been riding like a fool and are too busy to post up, please tell me the FB thing hasn't sucked your blog dry.
email me if you're not on here anymore
